Day 1 Beijing to Datong by High Speed Train, Pick-up, Visit Yungang Grottoes and Shanhua Temple
Today, you will take a high speed train for about 2 hours from Beijing to Datong by yourself. We will book train tickets and deliver them to your hotel in advance. Upon your arrival in Datong, your private guide will pick you up at the railway station and transfer you to check in at the hotel for a two-night stay.
After a short rest in the hotel, your Datong tour from Beijing will start with a visit to Yungang Grottoes, one of the four greatest grottoes in China. Situated to the west of Datong City, Yungang Grottoes were carved at the southern foot of Wuzhou Mountain, stretching for about one kilometer (0.6 miles) from east to west. There are altogether 252 niches and 51,000 vivid Buddha statues, representing the highest achievement of the Chinese stone carving art in the 5th and 6th centuries. Afterwards, we will continue to visit the Shanhua Temple, which is the largest and most complete temple building in the Liao and Jin dynasties (907 - 1234 AD). Finally, you will be transferred back to the hotel.

Day 2 Visit Hanging Monastery, Wooden Pagoda in Yingxian County
After breakfast, we will drive to another amazing site in Datong, the Hanging Monastery. Constructed about 1,500 years ago during the late Northern Wei Dynasty (386 - 534 AD), the Hanging Monastery, as its name suggests, was enchased in the cliffs of the Mt. Hengshan. Although 1,500 years has passed, 40 halls of the monastery still stand there solidly and firmly.
In the afternoon, we will head to visit the Wooden Pagoda in Yingxian County, which is the world's highest wooden tower recognized by the Guinness. It is also one of the three miraculous towers in the world, together with the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Paris Eiffel Tower.

Day 3 Visit Huayan Monastery and Nine-Dragon Screen, Take a High Speed Train to Beijing
This morning, we will first visit the Huayan Monastery. It is a huge temple complex with many shrines, well restored pavilions and a beautiful garden. You could get a good view of the city from a wooden tower inside the monastery.
Then take a look at the Nine-Dragon Screen. This is the oldest and largest screen wall in China with 9 dragons. With more than 600 years of history, the colorful painted carvings still bring the dragons to life vividly.
Afterwards, a private transfer will take you to the railway station for you to take the onward high speed train to Beijing. On arrival, make your own way to the hotel and have a good rest.

Day 4 On the Flight from Beijing to Beirut
Today, please go to the Beijing airport on your own, according to the schedule of your international flight to Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.

Day 5 Arrival in Beirut, Airport pick-up
Welcome to Beirut! Upon arrival at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport, our driver will pick you up and send you to the hotel. You can enjoy yourself freely during the rest of the day.

Day 6 Beirut – Jeita - Byblos – Harissa – Beirut
From today on, you will spend 4 days enjoying the best
Lebanon tour package including many precious historical relics showing its long-lasting civilization.
In the morning, we will drive to Jeita Grotto. On arrival, you will take a cable car ride to get to the cave. When touring inside, you will have a walking tour on the upper layer and then take a boat to explore the lower layer. Next, we will leave for Byblos, visit the Byblos Citadel (Crusaders’ Castle), the Church of St. John, the Roman amphitheater and the old souks. On the way back to Beirut, we will stop by village of Harissa and take cable car to visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon.

Day 7 Beirut – Anjar – Baalbek – Ksara - Beirut
In the morning, it will take us 1.5h to drive to Anjar. Built in the 8th century, Anjar used to be a prosperous city dotted with palaces, mosques and public baths, and its main street in downtown was once flanked with over six hundred stores. Now, we can still feel Anjar’s ancient glory through the stone walls and stone pillars at the Umayyad ruins. Then, we will move on to the temple complex in Baalbek. There, three temples dedicated to Jupiter, Bacchus and Venus respectively are considered the largest and most well-preserved ancient Roman remains in the world. At the end of the day, we will drive to Château Ksara to visit winery and have a taste of local wine. This is the end of today’s itinerary and the guide will send you back to the hotel.

Day 8 Beirut – Sidon– Tyre - Beirut
Today we are going to explore Phoenician civilization by visiting Sidon and Tyre. After breakfast, you will first be led to Sidon to have a look at the local souks, fish market, the sea castle and the Temple of Eshmun. After the Sidon sightseeing, it is time to leave for Tyre. Tyre used to be a commercial port and trading center of the eastern Mediterranean. To have a deeper understanding of Tyre’s legendary past, we will pay a visit to the Egyptian Port, public baths and the Roman necropolis and hippodrome. Then, you will be escorted back to the hotel in Beirut.

Day 9 Departure from Beirut, Airport see-off
