After breakfast, our guide will pick you up at the hotel and drive you to Shanghai Museum. Built in 1952, Shanghai Museum has abundant Chinese ancient artistic collections. Besides, there are twelve showrooms displaying bronze wares, ceramics, calligraphy works, paintings, lacquer wares, enamels, and carved stone sculptures. Then, we will head to the Yu Garden, which is a private garden of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). Within the garden, some attractive spots like mid-lake pavilions, zigzag bridges, as well as the horizontal inscribed boards and inscriptions are waiting for you.
Around noon, we will arrange an a la carte lunch in a famous restaurant to let you have a taste of authentic and delicious Shanghai food. In the afternoon, you will be driven to take a cruise on the Huangpu River, which divides Shanghai into Puxi and Pudong districts, and you will view the quintessence of the city's landscape on both banks of the river. After that, we will pay a visit to an old cultural block Tianzifang to spend a leisure afternoon.
Today's private Shanghai tour ends here, and you will be sent back to the hotel to have some rest.
